Try NowWhat Is AI Recall Management in Automotive?
AI recall management uses AI to help dealers identify vehicles with open recalls, reach affected customers, and follow up until the next step is clear. It brings recall data, customer outreach, and service scheduling into one workflow. This helps dealers stay proactive instead of relying only on manual recall follow-ups.
Why Do Dealers Need AI Recall Management Software?
Open recalls can easily get overlooked when customers miss OEM notices or dealership calls. AI recall management software helps dealers automate outreach, follow-ups, and appointment coordination without adding more work for the BDC or service team.
1. Reach Customers Who Miss the First Call
Not every customer responds to the first recall message or dealership call. AI can continue the conversation through automated voice and SMS follow-ups, giving dealers more opportunities to reach customers with open recalls.
2. Keep Recall Follow-Ups Consistent
Manual follow-ups can be difficult to manage when service teams are already handling daily customer requests. AI recall management keeps outreach consistent, so customers do not get lost between the initial notification and service appointment.
3. Turn Open Recalls Into Service Opportunities
An open recall can also create an opportunity to bring a customer back into the service lane. By reaching customers and helping them schedule service, dealers can connect recall campaigns with actual service visits.
4. Reduce the Load on BDC and Service Teams
Recall outreach involves repetitive calls, messages, and follow-ups that take time away from other customer conversations. AI can handle these routine interactions while your team steps in when a customer needs more personal assistance.
5. Keep the Recall Process Moving
Recall management should not stop after a customer is contacted. AI can help move each conversation forward, from the initial outreach to follow-up and service scheduling, giving dealers a clearer view of where each recall stands.
How AI Recall Agent Helps Dealers?
An AI recall agent can contact customers, explain the reason for the outreach, answer basic questions, and guide them toward scheduling service. With automated voice and SMS follow-ups, dealers can keep recall conversations moving while their teams focus on customers who need human assistance.
1. Start With Proactive Recall Outreach
Instead of waiting for customers to respond to a recall notice, an AI agent can proactively reach out to affected customers. This gives dealers a more direct way to start conversations around unresolved recalls.
2. Use Voice and SMS Together
Different customers prefer different ways to communicate. AI-powered voice outreach can start the conversation, while SMS can be used for follow-ups, reminders, and appointment details when a customer does not answer the call.
3. Answer Questions During the Conversation
Customers may have basic questions about why they are being contacted or what they need to do next. The AI recall agent can handle common questions and guide the customer toward the appropriate next step.
4. Help Book the Service Appointment
The goal of recall outreach is not simply to make contact. The agent can help move the customer toward scheduling service, connecting the recall conversation with the dealership’s service appointment workflow.
5. Follow Up Without Manual Effort
Customers may not answer on the first attempt or may ask to be contacted later. AI can manage these follow-ups automatically, helping dealers stay engaged without requiring BDC teams to track every conversation manually.
Spyne’s AI Recall Management Software for Automotive Dealers
Spyne’s AI Recall Agent helps dealers turn open recall data into proactive customer conversations. It combines AI-powered outreach with follow-ups and service scheduling to help dealers move customers from an open recall to a booked service appointment.
1. Identify Customers With Open Recalls
Spyne’s recall workflow brings recall information together with relevant customer and vehicle data. This gives dealers a clearer starting point for identifying customers who may need recall-related outreach.
2. Reach Customers With AI Voice
The AI agent can make recall-related calls and engage customers in a natural conversation. It can explain the purpose of the call, handle basic responses, and help determine the appropriate next step.
3. Follow Up With SMS
If a customer misses a call or needs additional information, SMS provides another way to continue the conversation. Automated follow-ups help keep recall outreach active without adding another manual task for the dealership team.
4. Connect Customers to Service Scheduling
Once a customer is ready to take action, Spyne can help move the conversation toward a service appointment. The workflow can connect with scheduling systems to make the transition from recall outreach to booking easier.
5. Track the Recall Journey
Dealers need visibility into what happens after outreach begins. Spyne’s recall workflow is designed to help teams track customer engagement, responses, and appointments across the recall process.
